Likewise, eDiscovery in civil litigation is increasingly being conducted remotely, more out of necessity than cost or convenience. While remote preservation and collection is not new, burgeoning remote workforces have placed more ESI than ever outside of the traditional organizational environment and those in charge of implementing legal holds and the eDiscovery process are often working remotely themselves.
