CEO and Managing Director CEO and Managing Director Mandi Ross is the founder and CEO of Prism Litigation Technology, an eDiscovery advisory firm started in 1997. During her 32-year career, she has managed thousands of successful engagements for corporate legal teams and outside counsel, as well as working as a court-appointed eDiscovery expert. She has been a nationally recognized speaker on eDiscovery-related topics for two decades, providing varying levels of continuing education to the legal community. As an experienced eDiscovery liaison and consultant, Mandi is one of few highly trained experts able to successfully orchestrate and advise clients on the intricacies of complex litigation and associated risks. She has extensive case experience with deploying best practices and workflows in the areas of eDiscovery readiness and responsiveness, information management, and compliance issues. Her experience and vision in handling large corporate litigation and investigations throughout her career has proven invaluable to both her corporate and law firm clientele. With a deep understanding of how the exponential growth of electronic data has dramatically increased cost and risk, Mandi also started Insight Optix, a legal technology firm for which she serves as CEO and Managing Director. With Mandi’s vision to control runaway eDiscovery costs and avoid potential sanctions, Insight Optix developed Evidence Optix®, the first and only SaaS offering in the market that addresses the underlying causes of excessive and overzealous discovery. Evidence Optix’s twice-patented workflow empowers early case strategy and discovery scoping, budget projections, proportionality analysis, data source tracking, and centralized collaboration and decisioning throughout the litigation lifecycle. Its powerful, easy-to-use workflow allows legal teams to dramatically decrease spend while creating a repeatable, defensible process for the earliest stages of discovery. Chief Marketing Officer Chief Marketing Officer Linda is the Chief Marketing Officer at Prism, where she is spearheading business development and marketing initiatives. Recently, Linda served as the Vice President of Global Marketing at KLDiscovery and has also led marketing departments at RenewData, Kroll Ontrack, and a regional law firm. In the early days of eDiscovery, Linda was a legal consultant and account executive, helping attorneys understand the requirements of this new environment, while transitioning their processes and approaches to address ESI challenges. Linda began her career as a litigation attorney managing large-scale document productions. She earned her JD degree from Pepperdine School of Law and her MBA from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University. Chief Operating Officer Chief Operating Officer Tom is a legal technology and services executive with vast experience leading service delivery, operations, and solution design functions. As a key contributor at two hyper-growth eDiscovery companies over the course of three decades, Tom has designed and delivered high value solutions, built out national client services programs and teams, managed litigation support centers, and cultivated key corporate legal and law firm relationships. Prior to joining Prism, Tom was head of global professional services at Epiq where he led a team of seventy associates and was responsible for oversight of the forensics, information governance, and legal compliance practice groups. Tom earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and an MBA in operations management from DePaul University Kellstadt Graduate School of Business. Chief Revenue Officer Chief Revenue Officer Mark Wentworth has over 20 years of legal technology experience in sales, business development, and management roles, with expertise in the eDiscovery data lifecycle and forensics. His experience includes a particular focus on innovative services, workflows, and technologies that solve long-standing problems in the industry. As Chief Revenue Officer for Prism Litigation Technology, Mark leads the global sales effort to work with Fortune 1000 corporations, AmLaw law firms, and litigation support providers and partners to deliver industry-leading consulting solutions that create efficiencies and reduce costs and risk. Prior to joining Prism, Mark worked at several innovative technology and solution-based companies in the eDiscovery space, including: Clearwell, Recommind, Brainspace, Nuix, and most recently, X1 Discovery. Mark has an MBA in international business and a BBA in finance from Loyola Marymount University. Managing Director Managing Director Dan Rizzolo is a seasoned consultant and attorney with expertise in eDiscovery law and practice, information management, computer forensics, financial analysis and legal operations. Dan’s experience ranges from small matters representing individual litigants to some of the largest and most complex legal data exercises in the world, including large bank failures, “Obamacare” litigation, mass tort product liability cases, the Madoff disputes, the Enron matters, and high-profile criminal actions. He is also experienced in providing trial testimony, and is well-versed in communicating complicated issues in simple, straightforward terms. Prior to joining Prism, Dan founded and ran iConclude Consulting. Before that, he held senior management and consulting positions at international consulting firms and corporations. He is also an Adjunct Professor at the Loyola University of Chicago School of Law, where he has taught a course on electronic discovery and digital evidence since 2013. Managing Director Managing Director Kate has spent over 20 years in the litigation and eDiscovery field. During this time, she has acted as a project manager, strategic consultant, and also Chief Operating Officer. Kate has a master’s degree in Information and Library Science from Syracuse University, which she has employed to great success for her clients. She is an expert on the strategic implementation of data analytics that leverage the use of information-retrieval theories and linguistics to achieve superior results in data organization and document review. Kate has extensive experience in workflow design, utilization of data analysis and data mining techniques, and optimizing technology-based review tools such as Relativity and Brainspace. Kate has also helped design and build innovative search and review tools to amplify the benefits of language analytics. Senior eDiscovery Consultant Senior eDiscovery Consultant As a Prism team member for the past 15 years, Ed has provided eDiscovery consulting support to both corporate and law firm clients. While earning his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago and his J.D. from the John Marshall Law School, Ed expanded his legal and technological expertise as the eDiscovery sector matured. Ed has extensive experience with ESI processing, database creation and manipulation, data loading, and has worked with both outside counsel and technical specialists to design and implement effective approaches to case management and eDiscovery. Ed has a wide range of expertise leveraging various eDiscovery programs throughout the litigation lifecycle, from legal hold through production. His experience includes: Ed has served as a supervisor of eDiscovery case teams, overseeing the development and execution of workflows, while optimizing technology best practices. He understands how to leverage early case assessment technology and the proper application of proportionality, and has assisted in the development of solutions that utilize technology to apply early proportionality in order to minimize costs for clients. CEDS, Senior eDiscovery Consultant CEDS, Senior eDiscovery Consultant Janice has decades of experience leveraging technology to improve productivity. She started her technology career in the late 1980s by helping to develop, test, train, and write a user manual for a database program developed for a governmental agency. In the 1990s, Janice worked as a software trainer on both Mac and Windows platforms. She is Microsoft certified in both Excel and Word. She has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in education. Janice’s technology expertise moved seamlessly into the legal hold arena, where she has worked with law firm clients providing review and consulting support in various eDiscovery platforms. She has served as a speaker for the local bar association, training attorneys and paralegals on various forms of machine learning, such as TAR and predictive coding. Additionally, Janice speaks to judges in the state of Michigan on the most updated Supreme Court decisions. Upon joining Prism, she was tasked with performing an overall discovery assessment for a client with numerous class actions to reconcile legal hold and collection auditing, along with custodian release and disposition analysis. She has also been responsible for collaboration in writing blogs and white papers on various eDiscovery trends, including proportionality and search term optimization. Additionally, she has assisted in the development of early proportionality assessment workflows. This knowledge, combined with being fluent in various software platforms and training methodologies, brings a unique and flexible expertise to Prism’s clients.
